Sangre Salvaje

Out of stock

Sangre Salvaje descends from wild tomatoes from the heart of Mexico giving hardiness, disease resistance and vigor, but also has ancestry from russia which gives earliness and increased size. The perfect red round salad tomatoes can withstand more fungal stress than most other tomatoes, from blight to fusarium. Drought stress impacts the plants and production far less than most other cultivars its size, and it should not be watered often if ever due to increased incidence of BER (blossom end rot) common to drought tolerant tomatoes in irrigated soils. The foliage is deep green potato leaves that reach out in many directions. They fruit into the frost giving green hard fruits to take inside regardless of how the neighbor’s tomatoes are fairing. The flavor is balanced and fresh, good for both raw and cooked preparations. 6 or more seeds per packet.
