Rattail Radish

Out of stock

Rat Tail Radish is bred for the seedpods instead of the root. The two disadvantages of Rat tail is that it takes longer to yeild a crop and it takes up more space. The benefit of this radish on the other hand is that they are left to flower and feed pollinator insects, they live their lifecycle through to make more biomass and save seeds, and the greater abundance of crispy seedpods that are ready to be eaten raw or also very popular in stir fry. The best advantage of these radishes in the three sisters garden is that they get to mature with their mutualy beneficial squash. People have forgotten the beauty of a flowering radish plant. These seedpods have genuine radish flavor with a crispy texture I prefer over the root. at least 30 seeds per packet.
