For 50 years, this rugged tomato has been selected by the Nichols family in the desert of Arizona. They can compete with Punta Banda for drought tolerance, and have high production of perfect sized saladette heart and pear shaped berries. The first fruits form from mid to late season, and they dont ever stop until the hard frost, they can tolerate colder nights than most others. One of the more refreshing flavored tomatoes, although perfect for processing in drought prone areas, salads are perhaps the best setting for these rose quartz nibbles. The long shelf life of this cultivar has no bearing on its texture, with thin skin and firm yet smooth flesh. A real low maintenance tomato. About 25 seeds per packet.
