I was conflicted on whether to put Jaune Flamme here, or with the bicolor tomatoes, because the cores of these saladettes are red, while the flesh walls are a deep orange. The freckling of the skin is very pleasing to the eye as they catch the light. The flavor is equally beautiful as the appearance with deep richness, strong flavor without acidic overtones. Cooked or fresh they have wonderful flavor but I like to eat them right off of the plant when fully ripe and dark orange. The regular leaf plant is short semi-determinate, decent for containers, and very early at around 60 days after transplant. Prefers moist compost amended soils, and will not preform well in poor soil. about 20 seeds per packet.
