The earliest fruits 2012 came from Blue Pitts. It also wins the prize for flavor out of the anthcyanin tomatoes descendant from the original OSU anthocyanin tomato. A nice quarter sized cherry with a light dusting of purple on red. The colder the temperatures get the bolder the colors. There is some decent resistance to disease in this variety with a blue green leaf that seems to never get burnt from the sun when hardening off. Bred by Tom Wagner of New World Seeds and Tubers. about 15 seeds per packet.
