Another one of Tom Wagner’s fantastic breeding innovations, Blue Bayou is a tomato who’s fruits and foliage bear breathtaking beauty. With perfectly aligned recessive and dominant anthocyanin traits, every tissue exposed to sunlight will turn purple, and on such perfectly shaped flattened globe slicers. The flavor leaves much to be desired for a fresh eating tomato, as they do not taste best until completely over-ripe and soft. The plants are short semi-determinate and will continue for a second round of fruiting. The disease resistance is above average, although they do prefer wet soils and compost amendment for optimum size fruits. Crack and blemish free, Blue Bayou is the largest anthocyanin fruit offered in this catalog at the moment. At least 10 seeds per packet.
